What is it?
Creating a new account requires a valid email address but sometimes, you might have to create accounts for people who don't have valid email addresses. This is where secondary email addresses come into play. With the secondary email address, you can redirect all messages and notifications to a person's email, even if they do not have a valid email address.
How does it work?
If someone has an email address that is not your organizations email domain, the Business Administrator can go in and set the person up as an external user with a proxy or substitute email address that will redirect all messages and notifications to the person's real email address.
For example, if user A’s email address is email@example.com but your organization's email domain is @glenraven.com, the Business Administrator can go in and set up user A’s primary email address as firstname.lastname@example.org and then set the secondary email as email@example.com. This will give the person access to WorkTrip while also redirecting all email notifications to the person's real email of firstname.lastname@example.org.
