Hotel reservation

  • The hotel reservation feature will be in the event create/edit page. In the create/edit page, you will see a section that asks, “How will hotel reservations be handled?”
  • You will have three options to choose from:
    1. Users do not need to register for this event. [Default]
      Attendees will not be asked to provide their attendance information

      [This will hide the hotel reservation options. It will also remove the hotel info and registration information panels from the event page.]
    2. I will manage hotel reservations for attendees.
      Attendees will be asked to submit hotel requests when they register
    3. Attendees will be responsible for their own reservations.
      Attendees will only be asked when they plan to attend the event
  • If an attendee registers for an event that is not accepting hotel reservations and then the event begins to accept hotel reservations, they will have to register for the event again.

  • The registration form will not be displayed.
  • The hotels tab will not be visible.
  • Creators/organizers will not be able to assign hotels to attendees.
  • The change requests tab will not be visible to the creators/organizers.

  • The hotels tab will be visible to everyone associated with the event.
  • The organizer will be able to add hotels to the event.
  • Creators/organizers will be able to assign hotels to attendees.
  • Attendees cannot create their own hotel reservations.
  • Attendees will be able to create change requests for hotels that they have been assigned.
  • Attendees will be able to view and access the hotel reservation from the calendar.
  • The change requests tab will be visible to the creators/organizers.
  • Registration will prompt the attendee to provide hotel information [Do you need a hotel? If so, when?].
